Our client is a well-established, national Environmental Consultancy on an upward growth trajectory. To support and assist this exciting growth, they are now looking to appoint a new role to their Senior Leadership Team reporting directly to the CEO. Responsible for the commercial strategy and development of the business making sure that all functions of the organisation are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectives. Maintaining and nurturing existing customer relationships whilst developing new customers across a variety of sectors.
The appointment will provide outstanding leadership to the commercial function and be responsible for the ‘Customer Journey’ whilst driving business development, commercial strategy, marketing and communications.

Background…
The ideal candidate will come from an Engineering Consultancy background responsible for cross selling services into major clients – these could be building contractors, oil companies, infrastructure developers, renewable/energy providers, for example. This is a ‘greenfield’ role – allowing the appointed candidate to make their mark and bring their own ideas for development. Furthermore, this is a strategic sales role so there is a requirement for someone to lead the growth plans for the business moving forward, responsible to the CEO. A passion for the environment is essential.
