Business Development Manager / Director, Nuclear Sector

Our client is a company that designs, produces and maintains industrial equipment and installations for clients across a broad range of power sectors, such as the Nuclear industry.
The Requirement
Due to continued success and investment the client organisation is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager for the UK company. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for securing and exceeding sales targets.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop a strategy to grow the business by identifying new opportunities across the nuclear and power sectors
- Identify investment needs to develop automated manufacturing production lines
- Research, identify and generate new business opportunities
- Manage the sales pipeline including upselling on existing key accounts
- Build relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
- Collaborate with all of the company’s manufacturing entities to ensure all business objectives are realised.
Objective / Subjective Criteria
- Ideally, Nuclear sector Business development experience with a strong network and key accounts at a top level in the Nuclear and/or Power industries
- Ideally, excellent knowledge of the UK and developing EU Nuclear markets
- Preferably, experience of selling notable size contracts related to steel products for Nuclear sector clients or other power sector environments
- Detailed knowledge and experience in high efficiency technology led manufacturing and associated engineering environments
- Excellent commercial & negotiation skills Management skills: ability to animate, lead and motivate a team
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Expert in using Microsoft Office Suite packages
- International mobility is required
