CEO – Sub-Contracting/Construction
Salary: Six figure base salary plus package and incentives


Our client is a well-established South East based sub-contractor to the construction industry with a history of successful growth over the past 25 years and a broad range of clients across the South of the UK.

With an annual turnover in the region of £10m and aspirations for future growth, it has been identified there is a requirement for a new CEO to take the business to its next phase of operational and commercial development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for playing a key part in strategically contributing to the Board, implementing the executive plan to achieve the agreed company objectives and driving the business day to day with a specific focus on reviewing and implementing necessary operational processes.

The Person

The new CEO will have proven successful business leadership experience from a sub-contracting business for example FM/soft services businesses (e.g. cleaning, security) within the construction sector.

The successful appointee will either be a current and successful MD/CEO seeking their next exciting challenge. Alternatively, a highly effective Operations Director on an upward trajectory, looking to take on their first CEO position.

Experience

  • A proven business leader, likely to be an experienced MD, Operations Director or Divisional Director. Candidates will have gained experience in the construction industry providing a sub contracted service, business to business, managing multi-site personnel effectively and efficiently. An example of this could be Facilities Management.
  • A charismatic leader who clearly demonstrates an ability to empower and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional skills in communication, motivation, and interpersonal relations, and able to convey a message that is understandable and relevant, linking business issues, financial results and strategy.
  • Experience of operating at the highest level of professionalism and personal integrity.
  • The successful candidate will have a passion for continuous improvement, and a strong sense of accountability.

  • A team player and developer, providing constructive interpersonal relationships within the business and Board.
  • High degree of integrity. An enthusiastic outlook, charismatic and with a good sense of humour.

The Opportunity

The role of CEO is a key and exciting opportunity. Working as a key part of the senior management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the operational and commercial day to day running of the business. Furthermore, contributing to and executing of the strategy for their next phase of development.
