The Role – Commercial Director

This new executive Commercial Director appointment will be responsible for the development and implementation of an effective commercial strategy to enable the growth of existing and new customers and bring commercial innovation for future growth plans. This is a key strategic and commercially orientated appointment, with a focus on growth, high value sales and customer experience.

Motivated by a fast-paced environment with a proven track record of commercial transformation and achieving business results as well as leading and motivating high performing sales professionals and teams to deliver.

Advanced skills in managing change, commercial negotiation, agile pricing, adaptability, decision making, and problem-solving.

Person Specification

  • High level of commercial and business acumen, with advanced agile pricing experience.
  • Strategic thinker coupled with a result driven and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong leader, with demonstrable track record of growing and developing a business.
  • A charismatic executive who clearly demonstrates an ability to empower and motivate a team.
  • High energy levels and ambition.

Skills/Experience

Sector experience could have been gained in Tier 1 building contracting or civil contracting. Alternatively in the construction industry product supply chain or major companies involved in construction product manufacturing or distribution or recycling/waste management/sustainability.
