DIRECTOR OF SHOOTING GROUNDS / GENERAL MANAGER

Holland & Holland is globally recognised as a leading luxury sporting gun maker, holds a Royal Warrant and is owned by the Chanel Group. The company own a 100 acre shooting grounds, seventeen miles from central London. Here, clients can be fitted for new guns or alterations, learn to shoot or hone their shooting skills, with its world-class instructors, as well as be entertained as part of a corporate shoot.

After 2 years of redevelopment, the Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds are weeks away from completion. The new facilities include the UK’s first indoor rifle range using the latest ‘Schiesskino’ cinematographic technology, new corporate entertaining suites and a new luxurious reception room.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Due to an upcoming retirement, Holland & Holland seek a Director of Shooting Grounds to:

• Assume full P&L responsibility for the site and its 12-full-time staff, reporting directly to the Board.
• To present, develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the corporate goal of doubling annual turnover over the next 5 years.
• Raise the already high standards of service to a sense of luxury more typically expected of a 5-star hotel.

 PERSON SPECIFICATION

It is anticipated the ideal Director of Shooting Grounds will have a professional background that demonstrates:

A proven track record of management or deputy management overseeing a luxury venue both at a strategic and operations level. Someone that can demonstrate an eye for meticulous detail to satisfy the expectations of the most discerning clients.

• Business acumen to present, develop and implement new strategies and service offerings with evidence of the positive commercial outcomes.
• A charismatic leadership style, man-manager and marketer who thrives in a busy, luxury client facing role.

REMUNERATION

Anticipated annual salary is £65,000, although a higher figure is possible for an exceptional candidate.
