Director of Software Development
Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 + generous package

Our client is an established and highly respected business developing and supplying their technology to a range of clients. Their platforms are critical in ensuring their clients’ projects are successful and profitable.

As they develop their offering, there is a demand to ensure functionality and performance are maximised. As such there is a need to appoint a new Director of Software Development. Leading an established and growing team, this is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, international business and lead the next stages of technology development. Our client are looking for an ambitious, experienced Director of Software Development to lead development of their platform. This role will create high-performing teams within the business.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead and set vision for the software development group. Design, organise and evolve existing and future engineering team for scale and fast paced development. Work closely with the other technology teams including product management to ensure total alignment between product and engineering. Deliver the platform in line with the set product and technology vision. Establish a world-class process in engineering for onboarding, support and maintenance of the platform. Remain at the forefront of technology and quality standards. Manage resources in line with demanding development schedules.

Requirements:

• 10+ years’ experience in software development. Ability to work in demanding environments and make good decisions in step with other technology groups. Experience working with distributed and remote teams. Experience developing and deploying SAAS model technologies. Strong decision maker.
