Managing Director (Software Telematics)
Salary: £80,000 Base Salary + Package Benefits

The Company & Requirement

Our client is a successful Nottinghamshire based business that designs, supplies and maintains innovative security systems and products for companies and organisations throughout the UK. The company is committed to offering the best possible hardware and software security surveillance solutions to customers, particularly in markets such as Transportation. The company has established itself fully in the transport industry and has established excellent long-term contracts with a range of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bus manufacturers.

As the company looks to commercialise a range of cutting-edge products and further develop its software solutions there is the strategic requirement to recruit a Managing Director for this next phase of their growth.

Core Responsibilities

• General management for this UK operation
• Successfully lead on bids, tenders and maintenance of service level agreements with Tier 1 & Tier 2 level customers in markets such as Transportation
• Work well with an established senior management team across areas such as; software development, customer services, operations, logistics, engineering maintenance and the Warehouse
• Drive forwards, lead and implement the overall strategic growth plans
• Provide guidance, updates and reports at a Group level to the parent company Board

The Person

Suitable candidates are likely to come with the following backgrounds:

• Successful experience of leading companies as a Managing Director or equivalent in the engineering hardware or software markets, ideally in the Transportation marketplace
• Proven abilities to successfully win large scale service contracts with Tier 1 or Tier 2 size customers across the private or public sector
• Notable P&L experience, ideally with operations in the £5m-£20m revenue range
• Individuals are likely to come with technical engineering mindsets who have developed their respective careers and have been within senior operations managerial roles for the last 10 years +
