MANAGING DIRECTOR DESIGNATE – THE ROLE

As the current owner and MD plans for retirement, a natural successor, is required to join the business. The current MD will assist, support and mentor, where required, the new person during a handover period.
Overview
The Managing Director Designate will join a business that is already successful, profitable and well run with a dedicated work force. The primary aim of the role is to continue to improve profitable, sustainable growth as well as maximise productivity and efficiency.
The new appointee will consolidate the progress the business has made over many years. He/she will lead further commercial development of the business and oversee the leading-edge manufacturing, operational and business strategy, encompassing new product and market development as well as driving continuous improvement throughout the business

The ideal candidate will have had a successful background in sales and then built on this experience progressing into operational leadership.
