Our Client

Our client is a small boutique manufacturing and installation company based in Herefordshire. The company produces and installs bespoke mechanical linen handling systems to automate work processes in large commercial laundries across the UK and throughout Europe. The company has recently been acquired by some investors who are positioning the business for significant growth.

The Requirement

Due to a planned retirement, the business now requires a commercially minded Managing Director who has experience in running Small to Medium size companies and taking full responsibility for P&L, Sales, Operations, Administration and Staff.

With the preliminary Group work undertaken and the initial targets met, resource has now been made available to take the company through the next stages of growth. We are therefore looking for the right commercially minded individual, with relevant experience who would thrive on the opportunity to steer the business to its full potential in a supported environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in successfully running successful SME manufacturing companies through growth
• An operations led MD with a high degree of business acumen
• Hands on with ideally experience across all departments (Operations, HR, Finance, Sales, etc.)
• High level of organisation and self-directed autonomy
• Logical problem-solving skills
• A proficient leader keen to develop their own team
• Self-motivated and target driven
• Able to use intuition and take full responsibility for decision making
• Able to build rapport with clients and manage/grow key accounts
• Able to delegate and create sufficient business systems/processes from which growth can be built
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Experienced in Financial Accounts Management
• Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing experience preferable but not necessary
