Transport Planning Director

Our client is a specialist transport planning and civil engineering consultancy with established offices across the UK in a number of locations and over 100 members of staff across their locations. With nearly 20 years in business, built on a strong reputation for understanding the transport implications of development and finding solutions to enable development to proceed for their clients, the business continues to grow from strength to strength.

As a result of this ongoing success, they are looking to appoint a Transport Planning Director to their Bristol office; the successful candidate will be a development planning expert with the following skills and experience:

• 8-10+ years Transport Planning consultancy background
• Successful delivery of profitable multiple projects
• Successful retention of clients
• Leadership skills
• High level of technical expertise and thorough knowledge of planning and transportation policies
• Strong direct relationship skills

Within this key and exciting role, the successful candidate will be:

• Responsible for contributing to the commercial success of the business
• Manage and develop key relationships with clients
• Ensure client services against plan, meeting all targets and within budget
• Establish and maintain excellent internal and external relationships, ensuring effective communication of objectives and plans
• Identify, analyse, and where appropriate, implement opportunities for Business Development to increase the volume of PJA’s activity in the region and improve its financial position
• Provide professional leadership to all employees
• Drive growth, profitability, and value
• Be accountable and responsible for the successful (on time, cost, quality) delivery of projects to clients
• Promote and sustain a constructive, supportive, friendly working relationship with all clients and work colleagues
