Video v Face2face?
What are the pros & cons and what do we all think?
Our experience here at Novo Executive Search over the last 12 months, operating under present conditions is that the benefits of interviewing via Zoom or Teams hugely outweigh those of face to face interviewing.
Executive search assignments can be run much more efficiently and comprehensively if one is video interviewing. You can speak with more candidates, your time can be used much more effectively and it’s considerably more cost effective for client and us.
Here at Novo Executive Search throughout lockdown i, ii & part iii, we have filled a broad range of executive and non-executive positions for clients throughout the UK and all have been done via video interviewing candidates.
Zooming and Teaming
Of course, the proof in the pudding will be if these people recruited become long term leaders of the respective organisations and not ‘fly by nights’…. Let’s see of course but for now we remain firmly of the opinion that this focus towards “Zooming” and “Teaming” is absolutely the way to go forwards when normality returns, so perhaps some positives may come from this challenging period we are all going through in terms of our industry’s service provision Novo Executive Search.
