As the demand for hybrid and renewable energy solutions accelerates, Jubaili Bros is entering a pivotal phase of strategic expansion across the GCC. To support this growth, the Group CEO identified the need for a senior regional leader capable of driving performance, opening new markets, and aligning complex operational functions.
The Requirement
Jubaili Bros engaged Novo to appoint a Regional Managing Director, based in Dubai and reporting directly to the Group CEO. This was a highly strategic mandate, requiring an experienced commercial and operational leader capable of overseeing the UAE market, establishing a new operation in Saudi Arabia, and strengthening export activity across Africa.
The ideal candidate needed a deep understanding of mechanical or electrical manufacturing, hands-on commercial leadership experience across Middle Eastern and African markets, and familiarity with ERP systems, hybrid energy solutions, and large-engine or power generation environments. Strong P&L capability, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage complex regional operations were essential.
The Solution
Novo partnered closely with the executive team to refine the scope of the role and gain a clear picture of the organisational culture and leadership style required. A targeted search strategy was then deployed, focusing on senior leaders within power generation, renewable energy, and heavy-engine manufacturing, particularly individuals with strong market knowledge across the GCC and Africa.
Candidates were assessed not only on their commercial track record but also their ability to build teams, influence at senior level, and lead operational transformation. Experience with ERP implementation, channel development, and hybrid energy technologies formed a crucial part of the evaluation process.
