The Company
Our client is a well-established global leader in conventional and renewable off-grid power solutions. The company has established a strong presence and brand recognition in the off-grid power industry. Our client services clients globally in various markets and applications across residential, commercial, industrial, telecommunication, healthcare, data centres, and utility sectors.
This position reports to the Group Chief Executive Officer and is based in Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership. To develop and implement strategies for growth with a focus on the UAE, the broader Gulf Region and export markets across Africa and Asia.
Have full responsibility over P&L, financial reports, building annual business plans, achieving set targets in terms of revenue, margins, market share in sales and after-sales.
Setting up a company in Saudi, factory and aftermarket providing spare parts and service.
Manage the business unit team of direct and indirect reports through effective recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning, to maximize team performance and achieve business unit objectives across all functions.
Developing and leading channel/distribution partnerships for export to Africa and Asia.
The Successful Applicant
10 years of experience in senior management roles in the mechanical or electrical manufacturing/industrial industries. Proven commercial experience in The Middle East and African markets, experience in international power and/or renewable energy companies is an advantage. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage but not essential. Willingness to travel across Africa and The Middle East. Experience of ERP implementations- Microsoft Dynamics Any experience within Renewables (solar/battery-hybrid solutions) or gas generators will be an advantage.
