The Company
Novo is pleased to be working with Womble Bond Dickinson to appoint a highly competent and ambitious person to help grow its Technology team in the South West. Womble Bond Dickinson has an excellent national Technology team which spans from Newcastle to Southampton. This role is to grow and lead the existing team in the Bristol office. It will provide an excellent foundation for a self-starter to take advantage of being located in one of the fastest growing technology clusters in the UK.
Nationally, the Womble Bond Dickinson brings real depth across technology, digital transformation, data, competition, commercial contracts and intellectual property. Its platform is impressive. Its reach stretches across borders. Clients range from established giants to the kind of tech driven disruptors that move markets.
Experience You bring a strong reputation in technology and digital law having reached partnership at a leading UK law firm and understood the demands of FTSE 100 clients. Experience in complex technology transactions is important, but so is your instinct for innovation and your understanding of how technology shapes commercial decisions. A portable book would be welcomed, although the firm is more interested in your leadership, your mindset and your ability to inspire confidence.
The Role This is a visible and influential appointment. You will champion the technology practice across the Southwest, becoming a trusted adviser to clients dealing with high stakes technology deals, digital change programmes and emerging tech challenges. Some days will be spent guiding FTSE leaders through complex transformation work. Other days will see you supporting ambitious scale ups or collaborating with international colleagues on global matters.
You will also develop and lead a talented group of junior lawyers, offering coaching, clarity and encouragement. Inside the firm, you will help strengthen partnerships with other specialist teams, ensuring clients experience a seamless, joined up service.
