Litigation Lawyer
Salary: Competitive Base Salary + Package

Our client is a well-established and highly successful full-service law firm based in Epsom, Surrey. The practice offers expert & trusted legal advice to individuals and businesses. At present, the business has 3 Partners but is keen to grow and add to the Partnership with the right Solicitors. The business is doing very well and has a thriving workload with regular and significant litigation projects, across areas like debt, employment and property.  Due to continued growth, the company is looking  to recruit an experienced ‘generalist’ Litigation Solicitor to come in at any level, depending on experience. The practice is open to appointing a Salaried Partner if the candidate has notable levels of Litigation experience and commercialism.

Role & Responsibilities

The Litigation Solicitor is expected to be appointed at either an Associate or Senior Associate level, depending on level of experience. The successful candidate will have the following core role & responsibilities:

• Oversee and lead the company’s Litigation workflows, forecasts, fees, development & mentoring of staff, recruitment of new team members and general administration of the running the unit
• Ensure this Litigation Offering is successful; achieves and exceeds targets,  grows and has very positive culture
• Personally run your own caseload of diverse Litigation work capably and competently
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients and other stakeholders, delivering great results and service for clients
• Be involved with company networking and marketing where appropriate
• Demonstrate effective time management and organisation skills with the running of the team and services provided in relation to all client matters

Objective Expertise & Subjective Traits

Suitable candidates for this role are likely to have the following backgrounds:

• A qualified self-sufficient Solicitor or Legal Executive in Litigation client matters – generalist Litigation experience needed
• A strong communicator, able to run and grow work and develop excellent client relationships
• Excellent time management, organisation, commercial management and administration skills
• Determined, focused, energetic and a team player
• Proactive, confident and professional at all times with a high degree of integrity
• Hands on, progressive and someone that is able to challenge, improve and develop existing practices
• Based within a sensible commute to the Epsom office
