Our client, RBLI, is a well-known charity with market-leading Social Enterprise manufacturing factories in Kent, that provides employment, welfare, and homes to veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants; as well as people with disabilities and those who have been long-term unemployed.

The Requirement

The RBLI is now seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Operations and General Management professional from the manufacturing sector to become their Managing Director for the Social Enterprise businesses.

Core Role & Responsibilities

• Direct, lead, inspire and motivate the charity’s Social Enterprise Manufacturing businesses to deliver to P&L budget
• Deliver continuous improvement leading to top class quality and customer service to both beneficiaries and commercial customers
• Deliver sales growth to target
• Drive and enable the charity’s Social Enterprise commercial team to grow demand for products and services
• Temper, where appropriate, commercial imperatives with charitable aims

Experience & Suitability

• Proven operations leadership track record within manufacturing companies at a senior management level
• Strong financial and commercial literacy – Evidential achievement of objectives, budgets, KPI’s, margin and continual improvement
• A proven leader of people with a measurable track record of creating successful operations – an excellent team player
• Strong commercial, influencing and negotiating skills
• Goal focused with demonstrable reputation for delivery
• Passion for service excellence
• High energy levels to execute business decisions
